Naturally, as soon as I posted, the key showed up. Sorry to bother you. I'll let you know how I like the product - looks neat!

Either you haven't restarted your browser or you've got other extensions doing something similar. Um No. I restarted for an extention to be unload as is the norm. It still ran anyway, it was not listed in the extensions wondow. I only have 4 extensions; Talkback, Google Toolbar, Download Status tool bar, and Fireclocks. I even reinstalled, and unistalled to see If I could clean it out that way. That did nothing to affect the Hanzibar still running as it continiues to do so ever now. I also did a registry clean. Is there any other way to remove this extension, as in where do these files reside that I might delete them, or is there someplace in the about:config section I could remove or change to stop this from running without a complete uninstall of my Firefox installation? Thanks. This doesn't work for me either. How is it supposed to work? I get a pop up with the text in a box "Hanzibar-Google Translation" but then nothing happens when I press OK

Al: Hanzibar's paragraph translation was broken as Google just changed the way their translation page is laid out. Fixed in Hanzibar 1.5d. That box should show a translation now instead of the text were trying to translate pa: if you downloaded the IE trial, its just an installation .exe that you can run; if you downloaded the free Firefox version, install that by using a zip program to extract the .xpi file in it, then install that by opening it in Firefox via Firefox's main menu: File/OpenFile/...hanzibar.xpi btw: if you are using the IE version there's a separate forum for it: manacreations.proboards58.com/index.cgi?board=explorer

Hello Hanzi toolbar person, The Hanzi toolbar has stopped working. I'm running Firefox 2.0. When I downloaded then installed the update it worked fine, but now none of the toolbar buttons, dictionaries, links from the buttons or on screen translations work. Its dead! I've reverted to the standard Firefox theme and still, nothing. I do have a reg key, but I've never been requested to put it in anything. Can you advise? Regards, Lee.

By the 'update' do you mean version 1.5d, or did you by chance install the old free version from addons.mozilla.org?
Check the About/Register dialog, from Hanzibar's menu, and enter the regkey if necessary.

Hello Admin, It was the full paid for (d) version. I uninstalled, downloaded and re-installed again today. This time I was prompted for the Reg Key. It now works fine. Best regards and have a great new year. Lee.

It looks like your name is the same, but your hosting provider has changed.
Just use the old email/registry key, which I forwarded to you.

I've just updated to 1.5e, and I've noticed that it says "Show Romanji" with a superfluous "n".
Also, it would be good to have the option to remove the website links from the Hanzibar menu. If I want to bookmark those sites, I shall! I don't need them in the menu of an extension.

Why is the hanzibar.xpi file downloaded in a ZIP archive? It makes no sense. XPI files are already compressed with DEFLATE, just like ZIP archives, so there is no space saving. In fact, it's 1K bigger.

- Corrected the spelling error, same version 15e, thanks.
- Zip files: my shared hosting server isn't configured to serve .xpi files, but will serve .zip files. That might change.
- Some of the dropdown menu links are in gratitude for materials used (dictionaries), others were just convenient for testing. Is it important to remove those or add configurability?

I'd make it a priority to either remove them (easy) or add the option to remove them (if you want to).

I just downloaded the latest version, and it says to install I need to open the "hanzibar.xpi" file from within firefox. Problem is that after unzipping, there is no such file. I have a hanzibar folder, a file named "install.rdf" and then a folder named "chrome" with the file "hanzibar.jar" inside. Am I missing something here?
I am on mac OSX, installing to Firefox 3.0b5.
Thanks! John
